In recent years few of us could have missed the public outcry over the destruction of the rainforest in different parts of the world. From Sting to the Body Shop - concern has been expressed at the alarming rate at which the rainforest has disappeared. This has been witnessed in the regular television reports and newspaper articles on this important issue.

Like many global environmental issues it is important we tackle them both internationally as well as locally. Here in East Sussex in the UK we are working with communities to promote and sustain local trees and woodland - both to improve the local environment as well as help save forests in distant lands.
