  Woodland Education

A teaching resource on your doorstep

Trees and woodlands are a valuable teaching resource in East Sussex that is waiting to be discovered. As one of the most wooded counties in the country this is a local resource that is relevant and easy to use for teaching - whether it is in the classroom, school ground or at a local wood.

As a County Council we have been undertaking a number of different woodland education initiatives to support teachers. If you are an East Sussex teacher and are interested in these issues do get in touch and we will do our best to help. Don't forget to look at our other web pages as there is also lots of interesting information on a wide range of topics from trees and archaeology to green consumers.
